Before applying for a post as a Young Professional at UNESCO, please ensure that you have the correct profile. |
To guide you through this process, please see the requirements below:
Nationality: a national of an unrepresented or under-represented country in the UNESCO Secretariat. Note: Although the geographical distribution is updated every month, the distribution for the Young Professional Programme (YPP) is determined when the call for applications is sent to National Commissions/Permanent Delegations.
Age: candidates must be 30 years of age as at 31 December 2011 (as stated in the Call Letter sent to all National Commissions and Permanent Delegations of the eligible Member States).
Education: a university degree or specialized diploma in the areas requested from the call for applications.
Languages: fluency in one of the two working languages of UNESCO (French and English).
Attitude: a commitment to working in a multicultural context and to international public service are essential.
Experience: initial professional experience is an asset, but is not mandatory.
