Starting your career as a Young Professional at UNESCO
The Young Professionals Programme established by UNESCO provides ten young people under 30 years old with the opportunity to start a career in an international organization.
Members States that are eligible to participate in this Programme (unrepresented or under-represented) will be informed directly of this new intake after August 2008 (starting in September 2008).
It is open only to candidates from unrepresented and under-represented countries.
The programme also aims to give young people a bigger part in UNESCO’s activities with an eye toward helping them to become future leaders. |

How to apply
Further to the discussions at the 179th session of the Executive Board, the Director-General has decided to launch the Young Professionals 2008. Candidatures should be submitted to UNESCO through the relevant National Commission. The batch of 10 designated candidates will enter on duty around 1 year later.
The Young Professional Programme is open only to candidates from unrepresented and under-represented countries.
