FRESH WATER
UNESCO Office in Venice's action within the frame of Water Interactions: systems at risk and social challenges

Toutounji,-N.-FRESHWATER.jpg
Imperfect knowledge of water resources processes, misuse of water and poor management practices have critically compounded the water resource problems that need to be overcome for the sustained well-being of human society and of ecosystems. The need for a more oriented and integrated approach to water management and development has been recognised in the past two decades. The urgent need for a comprehensive assessment of the world's freshwater has also been emphasized.
