Selected resources relating to UNESCO's education programmes in the Democratic Republic of Congo |

In the Republic of Congo, children and young people still have vivid memories of two recent civil wars that traumatized the country and its population. As in the case of most armed conflicts, the main victims of these tribal and class struggles were children.
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March), "SALYZ", an Associated School in Brazzaville, Congo, organized a series of workshops on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It was also an occasion to instill in the minds of the children and youth, the fundamental rights entitled to each and every person. The pupils and students were told that everyone has the right to live in perfect harmony without distinction of their race and regardless of the tribe or regions they come from. Pour en savoir plus |
