  National Commission Questionnaires
33rd Edition of Study Abroad Data Gathering Exercise

The data gathering exercise for Study Abroad takes place every two years. Member States, international organizations and institutions are sent questionnaires for updating existing listings and/or providing information on new listings and awards.

For the 33rd edition, the publication will concentrate on financial assistance for international students and questionnaires for this exercice have been sent through the International Association of Universities (IAU) to over 9,000 accredited institutions of higher education.

The UNESCO National Commissions provide valuable assistance in this exercise by providing information on their higher education systems as well as on new fellowship programmes and by checking the validity of institutions listed for their countries.

Letters were sent to all UNESCO National Commissions on 11 June 2004 requesting the name of a focal point for Study Abroad. The questionnaire to be filled out by the nominated focal point may be downloaded from this site.
