7th Session of the Mediterranean Intergovernmental Committee
	The Seventh session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the application of the International Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education in the Arab and European States bordering on the Mediterranean will be held in Split, Croatia, from 9 to 10 June, 2005 on the kind invitation of the Minister of Science, Education and Sports of Croatia.

 

Meeting Overview - Link to Working Documents - Link to Reference Documents - Link to the Practical Information Note for the Meeting The first day of the meeting will focus on an overview of the ratifications of the Convention. It will examine new developments in this domain and discuss the necessity to revise the Convention so that it better responds to the challenges of the knowledge society. The second day of the meeting will focus on information exchange and networking on issues of the recognition of qualifications and quality assurance between the Mediterranean countries. The steps for launching a network of national information centres on the recognition of qualifications and quality assurance will be explored. Recommendations and decisions on future activities of the Intergovernmental Committee will be elaborated and approved by participants. The working languages of the meeting will be English and French. Simultaneous interpretation of the proceedings will be provided and working documents published in these two languages. Participation is by invitation only.
