Thailand celebrates teachers and innovative teaching techniques, March 24-26 Hardworking teachers will be honoured and new methods of teaching and learning discussed at the 4th World Teachers' Day in Thailand which takes place during the 12th UNESCO-APEID International Conference on March 24-26. The conference on Quality Innovations for Teaching and Learning, will highlight the importance of teacher education and provide a forum for policy makers, educators, teachers, academicians and researchers to discuss and exchange information on quality and sustainable education. There will be six plenary sessions during the conference including: strengthening the profession for the 21st Century; teacher education for sustainable development; ICTs in education; bridging the social divide; nurturing the holistic development of children and youth and arts and culture in education. The three day conference will start by celebrating the 4th World Teacher’s Day with a tribute to exemplary teachers attended by Jurin Laksanavisit, Thailand’s Minister of Education.
