This Forum, organized by UNESCO’s Foresight Programme, was held at UNESCO Headquarters on 2 March 2009.
Nicholas Burnett, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Education, was one of the speakers on the panel “Investing out of the Crisis – in Education, Social Services, Science, Culture and Knowledge.”
The Forum, which brought together eminent international experts, also included sessions on the impact of the crisis on developing countries and the prospects for reaching the Millennium Development Goals, on women and gender equality, and on climate change and the prospects for a green economy. |
