International seminars on Ecotourism organized every Monday till 3rd December 2007 by UNESCO Chair in cultural tourism , Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero and Asociación Amigos del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Professor Claudio Bertonatti is academic director of this course: 56 class hours, during which experts from the USA, Spain, Colombia and Argentina will share their knowledge on the opportunities, challenges, mistakes and successes of this increasingly popular type of tourism. Mondays, from 5.30 to 8.30 pm
The seminar is targeted to tourist operators, travel agents, guides, managers of natural and cultural resources, aid organizations, academic institutions and tourists themselves.
The objective is to review known experiences to prevent past mistakes with a constructive approach, in order to train participants on the basics of ecological tourism, interpretation of our natural and cultural heritage and on a method of tourism management compatible with its preservation, while generating potential benefits for local communities.
