Cooperation models


There is ample evidence that multi-stakeholder partnerships in education do serve as welcome laboratories for innovation and experimentation.

Here are selected examples of successful cooperation where skills and expertise of many partners combined to improve the quality of education.

A partnership agreement was signed in 2006 between UNESCO and the Global Business Coalition (GBC) on HIV/AIDS to reinforce mobilization for HIV and AIDS Prevention Education for a five-year period.

Given that basic education is a right for every child, there is a compelling moral, social and economic case for setting education as the top priority on the development agenda.

A multi-stakeholder programme, launched in 2003 serves the implementation of Dakar goals at the country level. The CapEFA aims to assist developing countries particularly Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in achieving Education For All within the context of national strategies for poverty reduction and sector-wide coordination in education.
