Sub-regional seminar for UNEVOC professional cadre and TVET policymakers from Southern Africa.

Induction / refresher training & UNEVOC network mapping, and strategies for HIV/AIDS Education Preventive Education and reform of technical and vocational education policy.

Objectives:
The seminar aims to inform policy-makers about appropriate strategies for TVET policy reform and to support efforts towards equitable access to TVET by all. It serves to acquaint UNEVOC Centres with various ways of networking, and with their role and functions as national focal points in TVET. Furthermore, part of the seminar will be dedicated to discuss issues related to integrating HIV/AIDS Preventive Education into TVET.

Lilongwe, Malawi 6 – 9 December 2005

Organisers:
UNESCO – UNEVOC International Centre, Bonn and UNESCO BREDA, Dakar, in cooperation with the Malawi National Commission for UNESCO.

Participants:
Participation in this seminar is limited and by invitation only. Participants are TVET policy makers and professional cadre in charge of UNEVOC Centres in selected Southern African countries.
