> Evidence with impact: improving policy and practice through research -2004-12-10 2:28 pm

8-9 December 2004, Central London
The LSDA is delighted to announce a new annual research conference, providing an invaluable opportunity for frontline professionals in the learning and skills sector to engage with policy makers and representatives of key organisations. The conference is intended to stimulate debate on the vital role of research in underpinning the improvement agenda.

At LSDAs summer conference this year the Rt Hon Charles Clarke MP, Secretary of State for Education and Skills, announced the next stage of reform for the learning and skills sector. In particular, he highlighted the opportunity for LSDA to work with the DfES to drive forward quality improvement.

The research conference will build on this valuable relationship, paying particular attention to issues highlighted in recent Government strategies including the DfES Five year strategy for children and learners, the Skills Strategy and Success for All.
