Primary School Children's Books
Within the framework of the International Mother Language Day, an exhibition is taking place from 12-23 February 2004 at UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris. |

The exhibition illustrates how chidren are taught writing skills by featuring some hundred exercise books of young primary school children from around the world. Through calligraphy it demonstrates the long process by which children learn and master the use of literacy skills in the classroom, the richness of different learning experiences and the importance of writing to the promotion of understanding among peoples.
The exhibition has been created by Mr Henri Mérou through his Association "En Marges des Cahiers"
