Advocacy for refugees & displaced children

UNESCO continues to play a leading role in advocacy for increased support to education in emergency and post-crisis situations. It facilitates linkages between these activities initiated by INEE and the activities of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA).

UNESCO works with the United Nations Special Rapporteurs for children affected by armed conflict and for the right to education, to create wider awareness of unmet needs for education in situations of emergency and reconstruction.
