The UNESCO Forum on Higher Education, Research and Knowledge is organising its first Global Research Seminar, a biannual event bringing together scholars from a variety of academic disciplines and backgrounds from all parts of the world to critically engage with a key topic or area of concern. Starting this series of Global Research Seminars the UNESCO Forum has selected ‘Knowledge’ as the theme for debate, gathering in Paris at the UNESCO headquarters on December 8-9, 2003.
