A meeting of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport is organized regularly. MINEPS I was held in Paris in 1976, MINEPS II in Moscow in November 1988, and MINEPS III in Punta Del Este (Uruguay) in 1999, MINEPS IV in Athens in December 2004.
The objective of MINEPS is to take stock of developments in sport worldwide and to formulate strategies that will make a reality of the principles of the International Charter of Physical Education and Sport, the Olympic Charter and other international instruments. |
