  Deir Al-Assad/Birweh & Ramleh girl’s schools
Provide Palestine refugee students in two camps in the Syrian Arab Republic with upgraded schools equipped with new facilities of standard classrooms, science laboratories, multipurpose rooms, libraries, stores and administration rooms.

Ramleh preparatory girl's school, established in 1960, and Deir Al-Assad/Birweh elementary girl's schools, established in 1983, in Homs refugee camp, have a total of 1,310 female pupils and 36 teaching staff. The school buildings are in a very bad condition. There are serious structural problems and many of the classrooms have cracks in the walls and ceilings. Due to lack of funds for maintenance, these schools have deteriorated to a point where reconstruction is needed.
