Noting the definition of a web portal put forward by the UNESCO Bangkok Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education, as a “one-stop knowledge shop of extensive information resources … a gateway or entry point to various sources and resources dealing with a specific topic”, several organizations other than UNESCO have developed, or are in the process of developing, education portals that contain useful information relating to teacher education or distance education and information and communication technologies. |
