This service focuses on the collection, analysis and dissemination of primary and secondary education materials and practices worldwide which seek to educate for HIV/AIDS prevention, mitigation and care.
HIV/AIDS Images Bank
This resource presently contains 61 images (photos, drawings, postage stamps, posters, etc.) selected from a variety of websites. They are intended as a teaching-learning resource for HIV/AIDS education in schools, or teacher training institutions.
Permission to publish these images in any format must be sought from the copyright owners, not from the IBE.
The HIV/AIDS Impact on Education Clearinghouse
The clearinghouse collects and disseminates documentation and research focusing on the impact of the epidemic on education systems. The Website contains a wide range of documents including: country studies, national policy and strategy papers, monitoring and evaluation reports, response interventions, meeting reports.
ARSH HIV/AIDS Database
The UNESCO Bangkok’s Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health (ARSH) HIV/AIDS database gives you access to educational materials on HIV/AIDS/STDs used either in the formal or non-formal sectors, mainly produced in Asia/Pacific region. Educational materials included in the database include the following types of materials, learning materials, resource/reading materials, training materials, and support audio-visual materials. |
Database on HIV/AIDS Preventive Education
Developed by UNESCO Dakar, the database covers Africa and treats subjects such as health policy, epidemiology, preventive education (health education, STD/HIV/AIDS education, programme formulation, training/education), prevention, counselling and care, ethics and law, etc.
HIV/AIDS Education Database
Coordinated by the UNESCO Harare the database contains documents related to HIV/Aids/Life Skills Education programmes in Eastern and Southern Africa (i.e. articles, textbooks, videos, posters, guidelines for policy and programme development, samples of programmes in the region). It is expected to meet the needs of governmental and non-governmental organizations, teachers, teacher associations and other individuals working in the field of HIV/Aids and Education in the Region.
