  A New lease of life for Palestinian schools: rehabilitation of schools in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank  
  UNESCO has made a commitment to help the Palestinian people build a modern society by helping to rehabilitate their educational, social and cultural system.  
 
The rehabilitation of the 17
school buildings was an important project among other education and training activities undertaken by UNESCO in this endeavour.
