    International Labour Organization (ILO)
    The right to education and the right to work are very closely linked. UNESCO and ILO have cooperated in the field of the status of teachers and of Higher-Education teaching personnel. In this matter, they have adopted two recommendations:

    - Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, adopted by the Special Intergovernmental Conference on the Status of Teachers, Paris, 5 October 1966.

    - Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel, adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO at its twenty-ninth session, Paris, 11 November 1997. Read more...
