HIV/AIDS & education: a strategic approach
By the UNAIDS Inter Agency Task Team on Education, November 2002
The strategy is about using education’s life sustaining power to fight AIDS. It shows the centrality of education to HIV prevention, and its use in reducing both the risk of HIV infection and people’s vulnerability to HIV. It focuses principally on formal, schoolbased education, although its principles are equally applicable in other learning environments.
