Educational Institution / Arts and Design, Communication, Media

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and most complex of the six colleges at Zayed University in terms of the number of faculty, fields of study and extent of course offerings. Its department of Art and Design offers concentration programmes in Painting and Drawing, Design and Photography and Video. Future development of the Art and Design major is anticipated in the areas of three-dimensional computer modeling and animation and motion graphics.

The College of Communication and Media Sciences offers students opportunities to perfect their communication skills. The curriculum followed by students who major in the College of Communication and Media Sciences broadly educates them in the arts, humanities, social sciences and applied sciences, as well as in the professional crafts of written, oral and visual communication. Students can concentrate on Communication and Media Sciences courses in one of two concentrations, Integrated Communication (commonly known as Public Relations and Advertising) or News and New Media. Students who choose the Integrated Communication concentration will learn to use the concepts and skills of advertising, public relations and marketing to convey messages.

The Center for media training and research (CMTR) is part of Zayed University's College of Communication and Media Sciences. The Center offers training courses and workshops for media and communication professionals in the UAE and fosters research into practical issues facing the media in the country and the region.
