This exhibition includes photographs, handicraft objects, posters and publications, highlights Pakistan's rich tangible and intangible heritage: from the site of Moenjodaro, the world’s oldest planned city dating from the Indus River civilization, and the graceful Buddhist sculptures of the Gandharian style, to the stunning religious and military architecture constructed by the Mughals and a large number of enchanting living traditions in the fields of musical, dance and theatre. |

Also prominently featured are the Lahore Fort complex with its the marble palaces and mosques adorned with their ornate mosaics and the unequalled refined gardens of Shalimar, built on three terraces, with pavilions, cascades and vast lakes. Related programme: World Heritage
