Este elemento no está disponible en Español. Está disponible actualmente en Inglés.Creative practises using ICT’s in promotion of cultural diversity was at the centre of the DigiArts presentation at the UNESCO Stand at the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS), Tunis, Tunisia on 16 and 18 November 2005.

The Team focused on several pilot projects, such as the Masters Module on Art Design and Technology in the Arab States and the Young Digital Creators Programme, which were launched in Geneva Switzerland at the first WSIS Summit on 10 December 2003.Within UNESCO’s contribution to the WSIS Action Plan, the Masters module project highlights how the launching of such a pilot project, adapted to new forms of creative practises, can make use of ICT-based networking, linking education, training and research institutions and contribute towards cultural diversity. Furthermore the Young Digital Creators Programme mainstream young people in mobilising them to share their critical views with peers across the globe and to express themselves through creative digital productions on water environment, urban life experiences, culture of peace, HIV and AIDS. Through these projects UNESCO aims at identifying how the digital cultural practices and related disciplines are taught within different contexts and communities and how UNESCO could contribute to the promotion of the way in which rich cultural expressions could be used as a source of inspiration in the field of digital art practices.
