2006-2007 Discipline: puppetry Origin of candidates: all regions of the world (except France) Languages: French or English Maximum age: none Deadline: 30 April 2006 Application to be sent to: International Institute of Puppetry Host and partner institution: the goal of the Villa d’Aubilly, the bursary center at the International Institute of Puppetry, is to provide opportunities for investigation and exploration entirely devoted to the art of puppetry. The bursary is open to researchers (university staff, critics, essayists, musicologists) and creators (writers, visual artists, composers, scenographers, etc.) working on projects related to puppetry. Working/living conditions: development of a theoretical and practical research project in relation to puppetry (theoretical research, writing a play, creation, experimentation with a view to edit a show). Working and video spaces. Access to a library, a video library and Internet. Residents work on the projects they chose; no training is provided. Nature of bursary: return ticket, two or three months accommodation as well as 1067 euros per month to cover food costs, simple materials, laundry, photocopying, etc. The laureate must provide his/her own health insurance. Dates of residency: to be fixed by mutual agreement between September 2006 and June 2007 Eligibility: artists or researchers with solid experience in their field, strong motivation and interested in a multi-disciplinary approach. Working knowledge of French or English required.
