Residency at Sanskriti Kendra, New Delhi, India (3 months) 2006-2007 Discipline: visual arts (painting, sculpture, pottery and ceramics, photography, new media, comics, design, art history, installation, performance, art media, handicrafts) Origin of candidates: all regions of the world (except India) Language: English Age: between 25 and 40 Deadline: 30 April 2006 Application to be sent to: Sanskriti Kendra Host and partner institution: located on the foothills of the Aravali mountains, a few kilometres outside of New Delhi, the Sanskriti Kendra enables creative people from diverse disciplines to work, study and interact in harmony with each other and the natural environment. The Centre was created by the Sanskriti Foundation, a registered public charitable trust founded in 1979. Working/living conditions: the Centre has 12 studio-apartments which are specifically designed as combined living and work quarters. Basic technical equipment is provided as well as workshop and conference facilities, a library, an open air auditorium and a museum. Training courses are not offered as artists will work on projects of their own choice. Nature of bursary: return ticket, board (vegetarian meals) and lodging, as well as US$750 to cover living expenses and materials. The laureate must provide his/her own health insurance.
