CULTURE

Young Digital Creators (YDC)

“Being creative and collaborative” is the motto of the Young Digital Creators.  The YDC programme is a UNESCO initiative launched in 2003 in order to encourage learning communities to build their own creative learning environments through the use of the digital tools and online applications.

It was particularly designed for young people of different cultures to collaboratively construct a deeper understanding of each other's cultural values and perspectives on global issues of our time (water, HIV and AIDS, urbanization, culture of peace, etc) through creative learning workshops, online and offline, during the period of 2003-2007.

Resources and applications

  1. Youth creating and communication on HIV and AIDS
  2. Scenes and sounds of my city
  3. The sound of our water
  4. History and culture of peace in Africa (in French)
