UNESCO Beirut Office Newsletter issue no. 8

The Director General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova signed an agreement with the Syrian Arab Republic for establishing a regional training centre ( UNESCO Category II Centre) in the field of early childhood care and education. This agreement was officially signed during Bokova’s recent visit to the Syrian Arab Republic (22 - 25 April 2010) whereupon the latter was represented by its Minister of Education Mr. Ali Saad.
