Third Meeting of the Parties to the Second Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict

Held on 23-24 November 2009, Paris Headquarters

The main purposes of this meeting were the endorsement of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the Second Protocol and the adoption of the guidelines concerning the use of the Fund for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. Further, six members of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict were elected for a four-year term (2013): Argentina, Austria, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Romania and Switzerland.
