China examines draft amendments to its copyright legislation

The Standing Committee of the National’s People Congress started the examination of draft amendments to the Chinese copyright law on 24 February 2010.

The proposal seeks to modify the Chinese copyright law, entered into force in 1991 and modified in 2001. Amendments concern provisions relating to the control and administration of publication and the dissemination of intellectual works.
