Exhibition "Cultures and Developments"

Humanity’s new duty to develop in a spirit of solidarity, within the limits set by our planet, calls for a multi-faceted approach to development whose success is in turn predicated on cultural diversity.

The intersectoral exhibition “Cultures and developments” endeavours to show, in eight key fields, just how much culture and cultures determine the quality and the sustainability of development.

Organized as a cluster of open interrelated spaces, it is deliberately not demonstrative, simply inviting visitors to form an opinion on the basis of the various presentations proposed by the representatives of the entire UNESCO family – the Secretariat, National Commissions, Chairs, Associated Schools, Clubs, etc.

The exhibit is open all day. Colleagues from all sectors and units stand ready to welcome you on each of the 8 areas to engage in further thinking about the issues at stake. Everyday, a few special events offer an occasion to meet specialists and hear about projects or programmes.
