UNESCO General and Regional Histories

The General and Regional Histories count among UNESCO’s major achievements. They are the result of some forty years of international cooperation between 1,600 of the most renowned scholars from various regions of the world. Aimed at providing readers from different regions with deeper knowledge of cultural and scientific heritage while promoting excellence in research, the Histories consist of a total of 51 volumes, presented in the following six collections:
