Summary of the activities Aims and objectives of Tandem Plus Learning: - develop a learning/e-learning partnership - facilitate contact between language learners of the target languages by means of computer-based activities and exchange visits - engage adult learners through collaborative language and cultural activities - to build international friendships - to build a multi-cultural virtual community via Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) - to develop language skills - to make learning more relevant to learners’ lives - to build up confidence in learners’ own learning
Envisaged results/products: - international friendships/meetings - improved language skills - quizzes in four languages on six European areas - visitors’ guides in 4 languages with various tourist/cultural/ language themes - Recipe, song, and phrase and local sayings books. Main partners - North Yorkshire County Council, Adult Learning Service, England - Belfast Metropolitan College, Northern Ireland - EOI Toledo (Toledo State Language School), Spain - Berufliche Fortbildungszentren der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bfz), Germany - Centre de Formation Professionnelle et de Promotion Agricole (CFPPA), France - Wicklow Further Education Centre, Ireland - Drummond Community High School, Scotland
