Strengthening Copyright and Related Rights Enforcement in East Africa

The Anti-piracy Training for Trainers (APTT) Project consists of an advanced training workshop for approximately 25 participants, including magistrates and customs officials, from Burundi, Kenya, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles and Uganda. It is intended to serve as a model for further training courses as it can be adapted to the needs of each particular national regulatory and judicial framework.

It will focus on:

  • intellectual property protection and piracy;
  • mechanisms for investigating, detecting,measuring and reducing piracy.

The workshop is organized by the UNESCO Office in Dar es Salaam.
