Virtual Heritage and Culture at VSMM 2007 Conference 

As the first major international conference to focus on the application of 3D digital technologies for the protection and valorization of cultural heritage, VSMM (Virtual Systems and Multimedia) pioneered the field of Virtual Heritage over a decade ago. 

Multimedia and virtual environment technologies and their applications provide a new medium for the advancement of human expression, interpretation and preservation of the human spirit and essence of humanity.

The 13th international conference on Virtual Systems and Multimedia, entitled "Exchange and experience in Space and Place" explores the themes:

  • Virtual Heritage and Virtual Cultures;
  • Virtual Environments and Virtual Experiences;
  • Applied technologies and system.

This conference is endorsed by the Australian National Commission for UNESCO and sponsored by the Australasian Centre for Interaction Design (ACID) and Cyberdreaming.
