  The Konrad-Adenauer Foundation created a fund named after Else Heiliger who intended to support German artists in need. Visual artists, musicians and writers can benefit from the Else-Heiliger-Fond every year. The main goal of the Foundation is to promote cultural exchanges and to present artists and their work to the public, in order to encourage the general discussion on art.
  
  
• Kreis der Freunde der Villa Aurora
  The Foundation offers the Artist-in-Residence and Writer-in-Exile programme in the Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades. Up to twelve writers, visual artists, photographers, musicians, composers, art historians and filmmakers from Europe stay there every year. During their stay, the artists pursue specific projects realted to their field. In addition, the Villa Aurora organizes individual presentations for each artist and works closely with various local cultural institutions and universities.

  The City of Cologne awards four scholarships to artists working in the field of visual arts (Friedrich-Vordemberge-Stipendium), photography/film/video (Chargesheimer-Stipendium), literature (Rolf-Dieter-Brinkmann-Stipendium) and music (Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann-Stipendium).   The Department of Science, Further Education, Research and Culture of the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz awards scholarships to artists of different disciplines in the Villa Massimo in Rome, in the Casa Baldi in Olevano Romano, in the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, several fellowships in Burgundy and one in the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf in Brandenburg.
