Portugal - Centro Portuguęs de Fotografia The Photography National Centre houses Portuguese photography but also aims to promote it and to give training for professionals as well as for the general public. It awards scholarships for people interested in studying photography. - Fundaçăo Calouste Gulbenkian The Fine Arts Scholarship Programme is promoted with the Luso-American Development Foundation and the Ministry of Culture. Switzerland - BAK - Bundesamt für Kultur: Dienst Kunst The Federal Office for Cultural Affairs offers professional artists the opportunity to spend one year in a studio in either Berlin or New York. The applicants are visual artists who are residents of Switzerland. - The Arts Society The Arts Society in Bern awards the Aeschlimann and Corti Scholarship to visual artists at a maximum age of 40 years. The artists are expected to work in Bern for a minimum duration of one year. - Kunststipendium Laufenburg The cities of Laufenburg-Baden and Laufenburg-Switzerland award two scholarships to one artist from Switzerland and one from Germany. The applicants shall be visual artists at a maximum age of 35 years residents of South Baden-Württemberg or Northwest or East Switzerland for at least two years. - Foundation Künstlerhaus Boswil The Foundation Künstlerhaus Boswil offers residental scholarships to international artists working in the field of visual arts. The artists are expected to live and work in the Künstlerhaus Boswil during the period of their scholarship. A knowledge of German, English or French is demanded. - Association of Visual Arts The Professional Association of Visual Arts in Switzerland offers artists the possibility to live and work in the studio-youth hostel Maloja in the framework of the project '75-Jahre- Jungendherbergen'. Furthermore, Visarte.schweiz awards a scholarship to visual artists in the studio Cité des Arts in Paris.
