Presentation of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization's project at the Grand Palais 

In the framework of the exhibition “Trésors engloutis d’Égypte” presented at the Grand Palais Museum in Paris, an exhibition space has been allocated to the project of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), which is presently under construction.

The exhibition will comprise of: a model of the museum, large-scale photos of the museum and its collections and a film in English and French.

The NMEC is the only museum of civilization in Egypt and will be the first in the Arab world. The construction of the museum, which will be 87 000 sq. m. in size, is implemented in cooperation with UNESCO, and the opening is foreseen for the end of 2009.
