Disciplines

Interdisciplinarity aside, arts education today is a vast field of knowledge and learning encompassing multiple disciplines.

While there are certainly links between these disciplines, which must be taught jointly – or at least in full awareness of their connection and even interdependency – they nevertheless always have a separate existence and are taught as such. LEA gathers information on the traditional artistic disciplines that have acquired a degree of recognition such as dance, music, theatre and the visual arts. But LEA also wishes to be the promoter of a new idea of creative teaching. Thus, in addition to literature and poetry, inclusion of the oral traditions is essential. Finally, arts education today cannot ignore the media (cinema, photography, audiovisual) and the new technologies that support the digital arts and their increasing role in contemporary creation.
