Funds-in-Trust projects

UNESCO’s activities for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage are extensively supported by extra-budgetary contributions. The major donors, namely, Italy, Japan, Norway and the Republic of Korea, have established funds-in-trusts with UNESCO.

UNESCO and its intangible heritage section are redoubling their efforts to encourage other government and non-governmental organizations, as well as the private sector, to finance projects and programmes for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage throughout the world.
