This now well-established event has become one of the highlights of the African cultural calendar. It brings together African designers and handicraft makers with their international counterparts to promote African cultures, encourage investment, and promote economic and social development.

As well as the return of two prizes that will be awarded during the event – Young Stylists and Top Model-FIMA – this year’s festival will also include a Forum on Cultural Industries, where investors, artists and other participants will discuss the launch of the new African School of Fashion and Arts that is due to open this year as well as other ways to develop cultural industries in Africa.
