The Faculty of Science at Kuwait University was established in 1966. It comprises six academic departments: Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Statistics and Operations Research, and Mathematics and Computer Science which offers undergraduate programs in Computer Sciences as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science.The Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts, aims at training students to earn a BA degree in the field of mass communication, by offering a number of courses which provide them with the fundamental and theoretical knowledge that they need to understand the nature of mass communication, its impact on the individual and society, and the applied research methods used in different media activities. Furthermore, it provides the students with the professional skills to undertake media work, as well as providing them with the practical experience that will allow them to use media technology effectively.
