The university is a member of the Association of Arab Universities and the League of Islamic Universities. It is also an active member of the Palestinian Council of Higher Education. Hebron University is the largest institution of higher education serving the entire southern area of the West Bank. The Faculty of Science and Technology at HU, was established in 1986.
