Training on use of GIS and archaeological database 

With the assistance of World Monuments Fund (WMF) and Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), a training course for Iraqi professionals from the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage took place in Amman in September and November-December 2004 on the use of GIS, preparation of site database and site-conditions assessment. The training was attended by 16 Iraqi participants. 

The project also included the delivery of equipment for the purpose of the training courses and its use in Iraq by the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage.
