Palekh Art School named after M.Gorkij
The Palekh School is famous all over the world for its own techniques of miniature-painting, namely for casket-painting. Besides miniature painting and general art disciplines, wall-painting, icon-painting, parchment and porcelain painting are taught here. The works of art created by the School’s masters are often considered traditional Russian souvenirs. Some masterpieces created by the School’s graduates are stored in the School’s museum.
