University
The Moscow State University of Culture and Arts was founded in 1930 originally as the Moscow Library Institute. By 1964 the sphere and number of subjects had increased, educational profile had changed and it became the State Institute of Culture. Nowadays it is one of the leading Russian educational institutions in the cultural field comprising 18 faculties. About 10,5 thousands of students are studying here. Many professors and graduates of the University are honored artists of the Russian Federation.
