The Music of West Futuna 

The distinctive music of the small Island of Futuna in Southern Vanuatu has several features which are familiar from other Pacific Islands:

exuberant hymn singing first established by the 19th century missionaries, love of guitar and ukelele and inventive ways of playing them, and an ancient tradition of danced songs which is cherished.
