 Julio Estrada

estrada.jpgBorn in Mexico City, 1943; composed "eua'on" for tape, in 1980, using the UPIC graphic compositional system. The only sound source he used on this work was his own digitized voice. The title comes from the náhuatl language.

Another work by Estrada is “Pedro Páramo”. Composed between 1992 and 2000, this chamber opera in two acts is scored for six voices, six instruments, noise maker, tape and choreography.
