Asia and the Pacific

This page provides information on prominent regional figures including composers, performers, researchers and instrument builders and institutions that support Electroacoustic music in Asia and the Pacific.

Music technology activities in the Asia/Pacific region are quite focused around academic music programs that teach in the area. In many countries these academic programmes are still quite young, for example the Electronic Music Lab at the National University of Singapore has only been running for a few years. As expected, countries that have more established Electroacoustic music programs in the universities, such as Australia and New Zealand, have the largest quantities of practicing Electroacoustic artists [socio/cultural aspects of electroacoustic music].
